Hobbies in 2020
Project | Planting Your Roots
During this pandemic of 2020, I have enjoyed planting and harvesting fruit and vegetables.
It is new to me, and it has been fun to do and learn. It's turned into something for families looking to do home projects to talk, share, and discover cool new ideas.
Along the way, ideas like self-sustaining landscaping became of interest to me. If nothing more, I've had quite a few free bananas and had some fun! There are plenty more fruits on the way and a fall vegetable garden that I am working on. It has been great to talk to people about ways to make their homes more enjoyable and useful.
Did he Really Just Do That?
Video | Basketball
Ever since I was young, I had a love for basketball. Being under 6 feet tall, I was told I was too short to play.
Below is a link to a video that shows otherwise. The reason I post this isn't for glory; it's to remind you that people will tell you all your life that "it's too hard" or "you can't do it." If something is your dream and you genuinely want to work for it, you have to get out there and make it a reality. You only need to believe in yourself and take deliberate and diligent action.

This is me dunking a soccer ball. This video is almost six years old. I will admit that I probably cannot do this at the moment. I had been training to do this. In my teens, I dunked basketballs, but the video of that no longer exists. This was the pinnacle of my late 20's.
A little More than Myself
Volunteering| Service Above Self
“Service Above Self” is a motto that I like and something to live by. In everything I do, there is a higher reason. Here are some pictures of an inner-city youth and children's program that I helped with from the late 1990s until 2015. I have been a part of various charity work, including; Give kids the world, Lord’s Lunch, Second Harvest Foodbank, and Rise Up World Charity. I believe in random acts of kindness and lending a helping hand.
