Matt For Mascotte
About Me
First and foremost, I trust in God and know that there is a plan higher than my own. I am a Florida native and have been living in the City of Mascotte for almost two years. Before moving to the City of Mascotte, I lived in the Orlando area nearly my entire life. There, I met my amazing wife. Immediately after getting married, my wife and I were looking for a quiet town to move to, and when we found Mascotte, we both knew it was right!
I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida. Additionally, I have completed one year of Law School from Barry University. I have over 11 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry from cook, janitor, bussing tables, waiting tables, bartending up to management, where I had to make tough decisions regarding growth and valuing people.
Currently, I am a real estate agent and in sales for a software company. I am just like many of the hard-working people here in Mascotte and believe that when great minds work together, great things can happen. I believe it can happen here, and I will offer my best in contributing. I would be proud to represent the needs of my fellow citizens of Mascotte. I do not claim to have all the answers, but I certainly have what it takes to help here. I believe we are going through a very critical juncture in experiencing small-town growth and can bring a new fresh set of eyes and perspectives.
Managing Growth
Hello fellow Mascotte Citizens
We are experiencing growth, which I believe can provide improvements in our community. With a diverse community, there will be plenty of ideas and differing desires. That's the beauty of a small-town community.
Obviously, we cannot do all of the things that everyone desires due to budgeting constraints set by the City. Usually, a small town means a small budget. Below are some ideas that I think would create a united community rather than a place to lay our heads:
-
A City Park. I strongly believe this is needed.
-
Begin Educational Programs, Workshops, and Classes: Topics can include; budgeting & financing, entrepreneurship, career development, gardening, and classes for residents who want to learn fluent English.
-
Activities & Events: Activities such as; meet the Police chief over doughnuts, ceremonies recognizing the accomplishments of our City employees or residents.
-
Other Possible Events: cookouts/ food trucks, hosting 5k walk/runs in spring/summer for causes, or in support of community members in need.
-
Creating a Community Garden
